@RhysSullivan Well because the word “raising” is a lie, and it’s a bad look to lie to your customers. Raise implies an increase from the immediate previous. If you had a salary of $100k and then got a raise to $150k, then your company said they were giving you a raise to $125k, you’d revolt.

@stevesi but 2015 vs 2025 skips wfh. went from ~7% of seattle workers to ~25%, and that 25% is of today’s larger population. downtown worker traffic is still 64% of 2019. with no counterfactual, how do you know lower ridership means link failed vs reflecting a big drop in commute demand?

@uhohthatsweird @vikhyatk @guccimax221 @yacineMTB when the top of funnel expands drastically you can expect a lower activation rate. young people aren’t dumb now in a special way, but the quality of grads is diluted by the sheer increase in participation. combined with a bigger pool, interviewers just see more bad candidates.
