It was an incredibly harrowing 6 mile hike at midnight through heavy and slippery mud, but I got safely out of Burning Man. Never been before and it was fantastic (with brilliant art and fabulous music)…except the ending.
@ParkerMolloy @neal_katyal He's the walking embodiment of "lawyers don't necessarily agree with the positions of their clients" I do NOT mean that in a good way. He has no moral compass to decide what is a righteous position or client. His clients would still get excellent representation w/o Neal
@agill99 @ParkerMolloy @neal_katyal He chooses to participate, which is definitely taking a moral stance. He just chose a high hourly pay rate as his guide.
@agill99 @ParkerMolloy @neal_katyal “Someone else would do it if I didn’t” is the type of thinking that started the Holocaust
@agill99 @ParkerMolloy @neal_katyal And the lawyers who would take the job instead of him are equally worthy of being drowned in mud. They don't have to take the job. No one does.
@agill99 @ParkerMolloy @neal_katyal He's not court appointed counsel to poor folks in the system who have no one else to defend their rights. He's a highly paid civil litigation attorney who could absolutely make different choices about who he represents. That he doesn't speaks volumes.
