✨ We're hiring a Design Engineer and Staff Software Engineer to work on some ambitious new projects with us at @tailwindcss. 🏕️ Fully remote 💰 $275,000 USD tailwindcss.com/blog/hiring-a-…
We're going to get a lot of applications I'm sure but please don't feel like the odds of getting noticed are against you. It's wild but 90% of applicants don't even follow the application instructions! The last time we ran a hiring process like this, we interviewed and eventually hired @malfaitrobin based on this great application he put together: …t-tailwind-job-application.vercel.app A tiny bit of effort to stand out has outsized rewards when applying for a job — 10% more effort doesn't increase your chances by 10%, it increases them by more like 1000%. If you send us a real application we'll notice it, I promise 🙏🏻
@adamwathan @tailwindcss you also have to have nicer solutions than @malfaitrobin in advent of code. impossible.
@adamwathan @tailwindcss how much is that in internet compensation?
@adamwathan @tailwindcss USA applicants only? @adamwathan

Hey just submitted; not actually applying, just wanted to see if the process was actually working for y'all (I'm a UI guy, so I'll often manually test things, not just automated). If you got an email, it worked. Not sure what to improve; quick sign up process. Your skillset you're going for is quite varied; full stack, JavaScript + Rust, having test & CI chops. Seems a reasonable request, though, based on the work y'all do. I shared this post on LinkedIn last week so was hoping that'd give y'all more exposure. Disappointing to hear as I know a few people who'd dream to work there (not sure they have the current chops, tho).
@adamwathan @tailwindcss @shahriarpshuvo I cannot think of anyone better for this role than you. Please apply.
@adamwathan @tailwindcss That Design Engineer role sounds rad 🔥 Prototyping new web platform features with Tailwind is a bunch of fun. Been thinking on how to do the scroll stuff and it's quite nice. New timeline and range classes with arbitrary range values like entry-[50%]
living proof that designers who code are very valuable right now, design in code will win companies are getting rid of those who can't implement the designs somehow because they don't see any value in what they do just in Figma That's why I always encourage all designers to know how to code, it's a must for their profession! I learnt CSS & HTML by myself and then I started using Tailwind instead. I really stopped designing in Figma for my projects and went directly designing in code
