My view on “Able to work” If someone works, but has no quality of life, or isn’t able to have any life outside of work because work takes all their energy/capacity that they may have left over after managing their condition(s)… They are not able to work.
@adamfare1996 Put them on SSP only instead of full pay and they will be fit as a fiddle in no time.
@adamfare1996 So how does this quality of life work , if you can’t afford it?
@adamfare1996 The amount of disabled people I've spoken to through my work who use up all their energy to work and use weekends to recover is really sad!
Work gave me a chronic illness I am actively, right now, coughing myself into a wheezing lump from 6 years later. But people wanna shame me into getting back to that life instead of "mooching" off unemployment, when the state can afford to fund bicycle paths on different continents? LOL sod off
@adamfare1996 This is me, I work full time, I come home and sleep every night, my husband cooks and wakes me up to eat. I spend my entire weekend in the house recovering to do it all again.
@adamfare1996 I am in the process of getting on disability. I am autistic/ADHD, C-PTSD, and after years of trying to push through it, I'm here now. What I do that feels productive but isn't depending on myself to provide an income, I bake and give it away to low income families.
