AND ANOTHER THING academic jargon pisses me off.. why are we using big words to make a paper sound intelligent while making it entirely incomprehensible to an entire population of people who do not have the luxury of being in academia in the first place??? inaccessible and stupid

I heard the phrase "the dichotomy is crazy" way too many times and it gets me heated
nothing pisses me off more than when people use big words wrong like why are you saying "dichotomy" when you don't know what it means
