A truth I've learned about life is that things happen. All day, every day. The only guarantee is change and the turn of tide. With that, emotions change, people change, dynamics change. With that, heartbreak fades, love appears, and the cycle repeats. Change: all day, every day.
The instanct awareness the moment you have experienced a blessing is unlike any other. The mind overrides logic and holds the weight of the moment fiercely, gratitude overwhelming your every thought. It is the most beautiful realisation, deeply knowing this is from Allāh swt.
Choosing yourself over and over again over things that don't align with your belief system is not an easy ride, but it will sharpen your sense of identity and you will stand firm in knowing who you are. It is a lonely and dark road, but it is medicine. It is healing & powerful.
When the heart knows, it knows. It's why the journey seems so familiar when you've made an intuitive decision – you trusted your heart's inner knowing. It's why prayers feel so personal, they come straight from the heart. And so, our reality is a collection of our deep truths.
No amount of effort can replace the ease in that which is meant for you. You can tell what's meant to last by the way in which it arrives and secures itself onto your path, like a petal opening its fragrance up to you. Anything less than safety is dangerous to believe in.
Sincere love can never be feigned nor imagined. If you felt love in an exchange, it was honest in that moment. We fall short when we define love by a person, rather than the moment in of itself. The secret to continuous love is to embrace the feeling of love, never to idolise.
It is Allāh swt who lights up the sky with the sun – why do you doubt Who will make your inner world shine?
When all else is out of sight, bring faith closer to the eye. It'll brighten your world and illuminate you from within, like a flame keeping the darkness at bay.
there cannot be a beginning without an end, a character without a story, and a melody without a voice. you are not out of mind for holding on to things that may look like they have long gone. you are hopeful and resourceful. the answer is in the hope that remained.
true, deep, meaningful love is the most quiet. it needs not to be spoken to announce itself – it is there, deep in your marrow and it moves just as tenderly throughout you, letting you know that you are loved; not for who you say you are, but for merely existing and attracting.
I’m touched by this beautiful qoute: “You don’t speak quietly to someone who is far away. The fact that you talk to Allah quietly in your dua, is proof that you belive He is close.”
The best parts of life have come to me slowly, and then all at once. Holding my breath helped me none as the very thing I desired was always on its way. I'm learning that to breathe under water does not mean that I'll drown. To breathe at all is a sign of life, and I'm grateful.
You are what you remember, so if all that you recollect are things that have since gone, you will never feel at home anywhere in this world, not even within yourself. So, try. Try to feel your feet pressing into the ground and maybe, maybe then, you'll start to feel at peace.
Love cannot survive someplace cold. If you feel burdened by the love in your heart for the people and places you meet, then know that it is love that sought you, for it is love that seeks someplace warm, space to grown, until you are the very love you were searching for.
I found my rhythm when I realized that even the steps backward are part of the dance.
reading is a privilege unlike any other. It affords us the luxury to momentarily live a life outside of our own, and the luxury to then return to our senses. coming and going, just like a traveller – all from the comfort of our home. such a privilege.
And the irony is that, although this life is for us to live, it was never based on our own timing, and so we must live knowing that at any moment the clock can, and will, change and whatever we are experiencing can, and will, pass. It makes for the harder days easier to endure.
The heart is a magical little thing, feed it once with love and it suddenly radiates through you as bright as the moon. Your heart is your colour, your vision, your life. Our beauty depends on the life within us and our light becomes inescapable once we start with ourselves.
A door that shut suddenly and without much notice was shut for a reason. You do not need to go searching for a way through. Closed things are meant to keep us away, but better yet – closed paths redirect us to safer routes, routes that align with our deeper truths.
