The Animal Welfare Students’ Club (AWSC), University of Ibadan, strongly condemns the disturbing incident involving the deliberate harm of a live chicken during the UI Student Union Mr and Miss UI Pageant. No animal should suffer because of our act or ignorance.

We’re building⏳ RAG B is live. It’s trained on real Web3 documentation and already deployed, answering questions using the project’s own knowledge instead of making things up. But RAG B is only the beginning. Blocktropolis is being built around a simple idea: Web3 projects shouldn’t have to duct tape 10 different tools together just to run a decent community. We’re building the infrastructure for that. Community support. AI. Websites. Growth. Collaboration. Piece by piece. Still early. Still a lot to build. But the difference now is that you can actually see the work. We’re shipping. 🏗️

𝙏𝙃𝙀 𝘽𝙇𝙊𝘾𝙆 𝙂𝙄𝙎𝙏 #1 🧱 Wagwan folks! The first actual edition of The Block Gist is here. Crypto moves ridiculously fast. New narratives, new launches, new numbers, and new drama every single day. So twice a month, we’ll be cutting through the noise and bringing you some of the stories worth paying attention to. 𝙃𝙚𝙧𝙚’𝙨 𝙬𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙘𝙖𝙪𝙜𝙝𝙩 𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙚𝙮𝙚 𝙡𝙖𝙩𝙚𝙡𝙮 👇 - Bitcoin is making noise again👀 Bitcoin has had a rough few months. After spending much of July around the $60K–$66K range, BTC has made a strong comeback in August, pushing above $79K. Institutional demand is also picking up, with U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs seeing around $1.6B in net inflows over four days this week. The big question now: Is this the start of another Bitcoin run, or just another bounce? Either way, the big fish is moving again🐐 - ⚽ 𝙋𝙧𝙚𝙙𝙞𝙘𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙢𝙖𝙧𝙠𝙚𝙩𝙨 𝙝𝙖𝙙 𝙖 𝙒𝙤𝙧𝙡𝙙 𝘾𝙪𝙥 𝙩𝙤 𝙧𝙚𝙢𝙚𝙢𝙗𝙚𝙧 The World Cup wasn’t just a win for football fans. It was a massive moment for prediction markets. Kalshi and Polymarket saw billions of dollars in trading activity around the tournament, with June alone bringing roughly $44.8B in combined volume across major prediction-market platforms. That’s a serious number. For years, traditional sportsbooks have owned sports betting. Now prediction markets are showing that there may be another way to bet on what happens next. The interesting part? Will people stick around now that the World Cup is over? I guess we'd find out👀 - 🏦 𝙍𝙤𝙗𝙞𝙣𝙝𝙤𝙤𝙙 𝘾𝙝𝙖𝙞𝙣 𝙞𝙨 𝙛𝙞𝙣𝙙𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙞𝙩𝙨 𝙞𝙙𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙞𝙩𝙮 Robinhood Chain launched with a big focus on bringing real-world assets onchain. But, as usual with crypto, things didn’t go exactly according to plan. Memecoins and stablecoins quickly became a major part of the early activity. Now the chain is growing, with TVL climbing above $540M and stablecoins becoming a major driver of liquidity. Tokenized stocks and RWAs are growing too, but they still represent a much smaller part of the ecosystem. It’s early days, though. The question is whether RWAs eventually become the main attraction, or whether stablecoins and speculation continue to lead the way. - 🤖𝘼𝙣𝙙 𝙬𝙝𝙖𝙩’𝙨 𝙝𝙖𝙥𝙥𝙚𝙣𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙖𝙩 𝘽𝙡𝙤𝙘𝙠𝙩𝙧𝙤𝙥𝙤𝙡𝙞𝙨? Quite a lot. We’re continuing to expand Blocktropolis beyond community, NFTs and collaborations. We’re building more utility for Web3 communities. Our first AI product, RAG-B, is an AI-powered Discord FAQ bot that uses a project’s own documentation to answer community questions instantly. Think of it as having a knowledgeable mod available 24/7. Less repetitive work for moderators. Faster answers for community members. A better experience for everyone. We’re also excited to be collaborating with projects from Robinhood Chain, as we explore more AI-powered solutions for Web3. And we’re only getting started. That’s the gist for now. The market keeps moving. Web3 keeps building. And so do we. 🧱 𝙎𝙚𝙚 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙞𝙣 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙣𝙚𝙭𝙩 𝘽𝙡𝙤𝙘𝙠 𝙂𝙞𝙨𝙩💚.
