@hoopingtonpost I live in Canada, the car we had rented (with insurance) unfortunately had a flat tire 40 minutes in the middle of the highway. We directly called turo support (who said they would arrive in 1.5 hours) and the owner who did not answer our call.

@hoopingtonpost Now, TURO categorically refuses to reimburse us for the costs incurred to exit the highway. We had paid for the insurance and no one wants to reimburse those costs. TURO are simply scammers @turo

@hoopingtonpost He agreed that we try to change the wheel and we notice that parts were missing to change it. When the tug finally arrived, it told us that it had been called at 6 p.m. (we broke down at 12:30 p.m. and the tug arrived at 7:30 p.m.)

@hoopingtonpost IWe spent 6.5 hours waiting for someone to pick us up. We called about 20 times and each time we were told that the tow truck was coming. It was -1 degree outside and customer service did not follow up. After 5.5 hours, the owner deigned to contact us to find out the progress .

@hoopingtonpost The mandated company was called by a citizen and came to ensure our safety and remove us from this highway obviously for a fee which amounted to 211 dollars for 4km. After pulling us off the highway, turo assistance was supposed to take over and come and tow us.

@hoopingtonpost This Quebec highway benefits from exclusive towing, meaning that any towing of a vehicle immobilized on this network is carried out by one of the contractors mandated by the Ministry of Transport.
