“Do you want to see me down the road, or do you want to see me get shut down? That’s what I think of it." From management to the players themselves, the Pirates are sticking to their plan to protect young pitchers. My story: post-gazette.com/sports/pirates…
@_NoahHiles I want to see him every 5th day for all 9 innings
@_NoahHiles This is where I call BS. If the Pirates cared so much, why are they running a 4-man rotation since Gonzales injury. Jones starts again in 3 games (one off day). Where’s the 5th starter or bullpen start? I’d rather the Pirates run a 6-man rotation than manage Jones like last night
@_NoahHiles Lose games, protect pitchers. What are we even doing here?
@_NoahHiles With all the UCL surgeries maybe pitch count is not the panacea to protect arms despite it having become the conventional wisdom to do so Maxing out velocity & spin rate on every pitch appears to be a bigger issue, but since that cannot be regulated then ignore it as the problem
@_NoahHiles Garbage. All of it.59 pitches. 50strikes.mgmt is a joke and Shelton is a dog.Utter nonsense as he was not laboring/hurt, kid pitched tremendous. Just a disgrace. There is no other crap that should be written. Jones should have never come out of last nights game at that spot
