Derek Shelton said the decision to pull Jones was predetermined. “He was throwing five. We had a pitch count on him today. It was his first time on five.”
@_NoahHiles Shelton should only manage four innings per game
@_NoahHiles My last game following this Hodgepodge of Nothingness was tonight and was predetermined before the game.
@_NoahHiles Mets broadcast knew he was going 5, so sure the team did too. Just waited it out. Will be more of this with others. Life with young pitching and today's front offices.
@_NoahHiles So was it a pitch count or inning count? This team doesn't want to win. They don't make decisions to win baseball games. It's money, every time.
@_NoahHiles Can’t wait to see the pitch count on Skenes. 20? 30?
@_NoahHiles @ChrisMuellerPGH The entire organization needs freaking overhauled!
@_NoahHiles Jared Jones should have been pulled earlier. Let’s try giving the fielders a chance there, bud. Strikes are boring #LetsGoBucs
@_NoahHiles You have to have some type of feel for the game and situation. 59 pitches in 5 innings is a whole lot different than 75-80 pitches in 5 innings. At his pace he should have been able to go 7.
