New guidance published just yesterday (22 March 2024) from the CDC in the United States: “Ventilation Can Reduce Exposure to Respiratory Viruses in Indoor Spaces” It’s not exactly rocket science… but at least they’re actually saying it out loud! 🔗 cdc.gov/ncird/whats-ne… 1/
There’s even a handy list of tips for ensuring year-round ventilation ⬇️ Note: In the UK, most buildings won’t have HVAC systems, so our main ventilation strategies need to rely on: ▪️opening windows (not always practical in Winter when it’s very cold) ▪️HEPA air filters 2/
@_CatintheHat I remember reading something from a scientist in 2020 and how they talked about covid being airborne and described it like cigarette smoke and it can fill up a room like a person smoking would. You need to ventilate spaces. How is the CDC coming around to this now?

@_CatintheHat Where's the press conference announcing this? If it was a hand washing campaign everyone from the WH on down would be on the news talking about it.
@_CatintheHat I'm glad they're finally at least saying that. My cynicism wonders what prompted it now (as in just how bad is it about to get)?
