A somewhat interesting thing that is kind of impossible to notice in regular gameplay is how they put distinct breathing audio on most enemies. It can be kind of different from what you'd expect based on their other audio sometimes.

Thinking about the concept art of Shira versus ingame Shira. It makes me wonder how often they have fully conceptualized faces for characters and then are left doing their best to capture them with the character creator. Shira sadly seems to have lost a bit in the conversion.

I still wonder if Alva and Zullie were ever planned to be real NPCs and ended up victims of Dark Souls II's development troubles, or if they were always just going to be elusive characters only alluded to in the item descriptions.
