Taking my mom to Iceland (Reykjavík), the Netherlands (The Hague), and Spain (Valencia) in a few weeks. She loves architecture, churches, food tours, and quaint small towns. She also has somewhat limited mobility. Hit me with any suggestions!
@ZGGaming how long are you gonna be in iceland for? If you're in reykjavik you can't miss the big church in town haha my favorite place i saw there was the town Vik with the black sand beaches
@ZGGaming i have no suggestions but omg hfhfhfhfhf
@ZGGaming I would definitely recommend hitting the Keukenhof flower garden, it really is impressive and only open for about 2 months a year. There is also the windmills of kinderdijk or rent some bikes and go to the windmills of voorburg and leidschendam, not to far from the hague.
@ZGGaming Highly recommend Delft! The most beautiful place in the Netherlands imo. Apart from architecture and churches there is a very nice porcelain factory
@ZGGaming Icelander here! A few recommendations: - Hallgrímskirkja downtown(looks like a space rocket) will probably please your Mum! There’s a small cafe across the road called Cafe Loki, they have some great traditional Icelandic food - If you can’t do Blue Lagoon consider Sky Lagoon.
@ZGGaming Besides Hallgrimskirkja (I hope I spelled that right) at the other end of the spectrum is the Black Church of Budir, like 2-3 hours away. I think there may be a few others as well
@ZGGaming Hveragerði (go in the hot river, find the place where the hot river mixes with the cold water, its great) Seydisfjordur (beautiful small town on the eastern edge of Iceland)
@ZGGaming I can recommend Leiden which is a short 15min train ride away, it's like a smaller Amsterdam with a very cozy atmosphere and nice architecture everywhere, including some great churches (Pieterskerk & Hooglandse Kerk)
