@MrNeibauer I use zones of regulation, which also uses colors to help categorize feelings. It does not put feelings on a scale though, which could carry a negative association. With zones, feelings are just feelings, neither good or bad, which can help kids not feel so burdened by them.

Its interesting that in Finland, schools avg 5 hours per day and yet fit in 15 mins of recess every hour, but in the US we go 7 +hours and can’t fit in 10 mins total for recess.

@MrNunesteach The expenditure of time, energy, and emotional burden on teachers/students is an exponential cost for an inaccurate and finite measure of what any child knows, or their potential. The obsessional investment in testing should instead be put towards the mental health of students.
