An Apology to the VFX Community❤️ ymcinema.com/2023/11/20/an-… #vfx @HugoCGuerra
As I mentioned before, thanks for this article and for being with us @Y_M_Cinema . But I still feel there is a bit of misinformation there. Since oppenheimer did not have 45 vfx artists, it had 160ish. The real problem is the studios misleading all this cause by hiding numbers and methodologies :(
@Y_M_Cinema @HugoCGuerra Great article, except the only "CGI fatigue" there is is rushed, last minute changes of heart, 80hr weeks, horrible client design fatigue. That's the only CGI the audience ever sees, and they couldn't cite a single movie with this so called devil CGI than crunched marvel movies.
@Y_M_Cinema @HugoCGuerra Well that’s refreshing 👍
@Y_M_Cinema @HugoCGuerra It's sad the VFX community ONLY gets noticed once they complain about articles like this. It shouldn't even be happening in the 1st place! Without VFX, all movies made today would be a bunch of actors in front of green screens.Highly doubt anyone would be interested to see that.
@Y_M_Cinema @HugoCGuerra It probably didn’t help that it came at a time when, due to the writers’/actors’ strikes, many VFX artists lost jobs, but didn’t have a union to turn to. And not one actor has mentioned that fact. We’re expected to support them, at our own expense.
@Y_M_Cinema @HugoCGuerra Good stuff, that’s how you do it.
@Y_M_Cinema @HugoCGuerra Appreciate the admission of wrongdoing. I’m not sure you guys understand the core issue of why this happened though. The writing methodology is more so based on judgement and assumptions instead of critical thinking. An example here, why insult cartoons here for no reason?
@Y_M_Cinema @HugoCGuerra Thank you for the apology! 😍
