@YIMBYLAND meh lots of downtown development but looks like it immediately tapers off to low density. 10km from downtown and its less dense than many suburbs
@YIMBYLAND According to NOAA, plus-three feet will be the sea-level rise in the year 2075. NOAA uses various models, and Maran said 3 feet by 2075 was an “intermediate” scenario. Mortgage is paid off by 2054, but there won’t be anyone to sell the property to… wuwf.org/florida-news/2…
@YIMBYLAND I can’t imagine how awesome Miami will be in 15 years when all of these buildings are full and occupied. The amount of density is going to make the city even more electric that it already is.
@YIMBYLAND South Florida has literally been building massive hotels and condos nonstop since the Cuban revolution. It has been march south on AIA, rebuilding since at least 1970. One major problem—caveat emptor.
@YIMBYLAND That’s a lot of building for something literally sinking into the ocean
@YIMBYLAND A city with one of the worst cases of Urban Sprawl pushing this many developments forward will surely set a new precedent. But their traffic hell and lack of reliable transit tells me they’re not equipped to deal with the surge in density
@YIMBYLAND need it all to be a bit taller, but this is progress
Imagine having the tax haul of entire country of France and not even having high-speed trains connecting your two largest cities… or potable drinking water from faucet in SoCal Florida doesn’t even have any state income tax. The left doesn’t comprehend how much tax dollars are wasted but screech for higher taxes 🤦🏻♂️
