If it did, maybe it was cheapest, maybe it would sell least on PS5, who knows. I don’t know why it’s so compelling

Maybe they determined it was worth it to break that contract to not make a promise of exclusives years from now. Even if they did break that contract you surely understand that breaking one vs breaking a dozen is cheaper

Xbox hasn’t made contractual obligations to Xbox customers, they have to PlayStation, the company. Breaking promises is easier than breaking contracts. I don’t know what there is to not get here.

@Ludens74781390 @TheGamingLedger @LordAddictILP Contractual obligations are expensive to break. And I believe they wanted to limit the hate they’d get for going exclusive, which we saw was so extreme for just two games. It’s better PR to honor your announced ports.

@nocontextmemes I got wisdom on this awhile back after I stressed about not getting a reply to plans for several days. Dude said “Brother, no response IS a response.” I keep that shit locked in every time someone takes days to respond. If they were going to say yes, they’d have done so on time.

@SnapBlastPLAY It is Xbox’s job to make sure to help the studios make the games successful. If I get a dog, and pamper it, but the dog bites a child, am I safe because I pampered it? No. I should have trained it to be good. Xbox should have helped these studios to make successful games.
@JezCorden If Xbox thinks they can do minimal first party consoles and then have third party handle the majority then they’ve been tricked by someone. Windows is an OS, Xbox is a brand. No one wants a console OS, they want a console brand.

@Jawmuncher I don’t know how to say it but the Peabody award just isn’t especially notable in gaming. The game was not a critical darling nor was it beloved by the players it did gain. I am sad for the studio and employees, but I think this revisionism just for your argument is stupid.
@SonicHero3D Just to add I am not some super slow player and I’m at 11 hours with what has to be at a minimum of 5 more to go. No guide definitely lost an hour or more looking for where to go next at some points
@SonicHero3D 8 hours if you really rush it. I can’t imagine that wasn’t without a guide for every step of the way.
