It feels really cool to witness the journey of Carmelo Hayes and Trick Williams right in front of my eyes. Melo debuted against Adam Cole in an open challenge and went on to win the breakout tournament and Trick got the chance to debut as his hype man on the debut episode of 2.0. Melo went on to dominate the brand for a long time but it was also clear Trick was a star just waiting for an opportunity. Trick then found himself and is now the hottest thing in NXT. A near 3 year journey for both. Now they're main eventing a PPV during WrestleMania week. This is for the OG 2.0 watchers.
@WrestlingHumble i hated them now i love them full circle
@WrestlingHumble I came aboard at Stand and Deliver 2022, and it has been a joy to watch both become the stars they are. They absolutely deserve the main event.
@WrestlingHumble Maybe controversial, I think Carmello should win in an ultra screwy finish almost solely because I think if trick wins then the story ends too quickly and I want to see these guys run it back atleast twice more after this.
@WrestlingHumble I had zero memories about Melo facing Cole on his debut
@WrestlingHumble This for the people who been here since 2021
@WrestlingHumble When Trick told Melo to stop being a little bitch and stomp out Swerve to win the NA title>>>
@WrestlingHumble This might be nit picking but the one thing I dislike abt nxt is that the whole story arc completes in nxt itself It doesn't carry forward to the main roster for a bigger moment..maybe have a match mania itself
@WrestlingHumble I don't think trick was a hidden star. I think he improved on the way up. He's defo talented but I personally didn't think much of him in the early stages even though I really did like him
