Neither a borrower nor a lender be...unless you know which is which. Borrow something FROM someone. Lend something TO someone.
An amount of something (singular), eg a large amount of kindness. A number of somethings (plural) eg a number of people.
Allot - designate, give certain portion to. A lot - much of (vague, colloq. version) Alot - WRONG!
Self-pity - bleating incessantly about the paper cut on the paper cut on the paper cut.
Absurdity - getting lemon in the thrice-plagued paper cut.
Comedy - other people hearing that you have a paper cut on a paper cut on a paper cut.
Tragedy - getting a paper cut on a paper cut on a paper cut.
Understatements of the day: It's been a little warm in JHB of late. Our school can get somewhat busy.
Poetry theory, a fact, we're taught just how to react. Words and steps are made clear, to lessen our fear, but its joy is no longer intact.
After a week of poetry theory, tone words, answering technique and figures of speech, my head is too full of terminology!

Innocence - the state of being innocent, pure, unknowing, not guilty (abstract noun). Innocents (common noun) - those who are innocent.
The correct spelling of the student's vital yelp for help: 'Ma'am!' (Usually in panicky, plaintive tone.)
