In 2020, 55 Fortune 500 companies paid $0 in federal taxes on $40 billion in profit. President Biden is putting an end to this with 15% minimum tax on billion dollar corporations.
@WhiteHouse I get it. Unfortunately, the corporations will pass any tax requirements on to the consumers. Please play this economic theory out via game theory…
@WhiteHouse I made 60k & paid almost 7k in taxes, my refund less than $1k. I’m tired of being taxed more than these “billionaires”. 😔
@WhiteHouse Sounds like the perfect plan to accelerate layoffs during inflationary times. An economics professor in college would give students a big fat F on a test on proper fiscal policy.
@WhiteHouse So... Biden wants to further hurt the consumer. Would be easier if you had just worded it that way. You can't tax big companies, they just pass that burden on to the common man consumer by raising prices of their goods/services provide.
@WhiteHouse All those profits went to teacher, police and public worker 401ks and retirement plans. All other owners paid taxes on profits that were distributed. Your team can’t keep taxing the American people. Stop the tax and spend way of life.
@WhiteHouse It’s a step—-not enough. In 2016 they paid 35%. In 2017 reduced to 21%. 2023 now 15%. The rate needs to be closer to the 73% it was before Reagan—or at least the 35% it was.
@WhiteHouse The COVID downturn year? You should be better than this. You should be better than dishonest socialists like Bernie. You shouldn’t be pandering with insulting data points like this.
