Extra breathing room for millions of Americans is on hold because of lawsuits brought by opponents of this Administration’s student debt relief plan. We are continuing to fight to deliver relief to tens of millions of eligible borrowers.
@WhiteHouse Exactly where does it say in the Constitution that the president has the legal right to pay off personal debt? The executive branch pays for nothing. All payment must come through Congress. You are lying or misinformed. Separation of powers prevents tyranny!
@WhiteHouse It’s illegal, immoral and unjust to have working class Americans pay the debts that these students signed a contract to pay back. You don’t have the authority.
@WhiteHouse 26 million , I'd like to see the list, before I hand over my hard earned money .
@WhiteHouse It's the seniors, the ones on fixed incomes, that need help now. Not young educated people that can roll up their sleeves and work.
@WhiteHouse Because sane taxpayers understand this is nothing more than pure pandering AND it's unconstitutional. Full stop.
@WhiteHouse Free money handouts is only going to make things worse.
@WhiteHouse It’s on hold because it’s illegal and never should have been promised.
