Teachers dating teachers. Does this actually work out? I feel the mix of workload and stress would just be a ticking time bomb. On the upper hand, you'd understand each other. On the down side, your teacher voice wouldn't work.
@WhistleblowingT Happily married 13 years, together 18 years. At time difficult both being teachers but both being off in the holidays for our young children is a godsend
@WhistleblowingT Think of the holidays! You always get the same time off, and you can enjoy super expensive flights!
@WhistleblowingT In my experience it helps if a teacher dates someone who is or has been a teacher as well, because no-one else really gets it. Worst was a woman who had never taught but whose mum was a retired primary teacher: she *thought* she got it and didn't.
@WhistleblowingT Secondary teacher happily married to primary teacher. 29 years together since Uni! Holidays always coincide, both understand when we have to work at home, shared understanding of the (nowadays more regular) work rants.
@WhistleblowingT My husband had a place at teacher training college but decided to become a shoe shop manager/ now an insurance broker instead. I can’t imagine my husband being a teacher, especially now in today’s climate. He has no patience or time for silly pointless politics and schemes.
@WhistleblowingT My wife and I were both teachers. I changed career to synchronise holidays
@WhistleblowingT Married to one. It works perfectly. We are both in the same SLT so have to trust and respect each other personally and professionally.
@WhistleblowingT Married to a teacher - love it!
@WhistleblowingT Can be done, would recommend different schools though unless you have been together / married for donkeys years.
