Biden just blanket pardoned all marijuana possession cases regardless of whether there’s been a charge or conviction. This is huge! whitehouse.gov/briefing-room/…
A lot of people don’t understand the significance of this and they’re all calling me an idiot lmao
@WeedLawyerKev @LoneStarLeft This is only on federal lands or Washington DC, right?
@WeedLawyerKev How many people are in federal prison for marijuana “possession”?
@WeedLawyerKev No one gets charged federally for possession. This affects like 3 people. Not so “huge”
@WeedLawyerKev It isn't "huge". I don't know where to get the data, but the number of people in federal prison for attempted simple possession or use of marijuana is tiny. Federal marijuana charges are for distribution.
@WeedLawyerKev he just needs to fucking legalize it offically. thca has been legal in all 50 states since 2018 on a technicality, so just DO IT ALREADY
@WeedLawyerKev Federal is almost nothing since most people locked up over weed are because of state charges.
Now if they can make insurance cover it for those patients on it as a medication. Making me obtain a Medical license should mean medical insurance covers it. But what happened; is along the way of just legalizing it is medications associated with it were no longer covered by insurance. Merinol and Dronabinol are 2 such medicines that once Medical Cannibist went legal was no longer covered or ‘allowed’ to be prescribed. Patients were told it’s legal so get a license and purchase it yourself. Adding more financial burden to a patient. Most are already living on disability of not much. Recreational is just that. And like a bottle of liquor should be sold and taxed for those of age. By their choice. But medical is entirely a different matter! Let take a moment to again say why the government has no business in any doctor’s office unless malfeasance is occurring. Doctors weren’t allowed to discuss these options with patients. When government decided it would take pain management away from doctors and patients; it truly became a nightmare. Now the mental health clinics became Pain Management Clinics. Huge nightmare that only weeded out bad doctors from what I witnessed. Ironically government approved doctors for the imposed clinics. Gone were the days of your primary prescribing what was best in Your particular case. Being able to view you from an overall perspective. So Fri~Yay on the note of a blanket wipe away but more needs to be done. Time to take a moment for Patients. Make a powerful financial impact in their quality of life. As well as financial quality of life. When 3.5 grams is $50 and you’re supposed to use more than that per day… how far does that under $1000 disability check go? So do I pay my utilities or eat or purchase medication or put gas in the vehicle for doctor appointments? What I know… on $960 in the New Year (until Medicare raises premiums, anyhow) those are my daily choices. The only state attempting to assist from my knowledge is the state of California where it is required that once a ‘legitimate’ dispensary (they sell both medical and recreational) makes enough profit to secure their business, they give back to known patients in their communities. The patient only needs to secure a current license annually. That is their only cost. There is an application you fill out for the state and it does go by need. When I lived in CA, many dispensaries helped take care of my prescription. Based on what the doctor recommended for my particular case. But truly; if you require me to get a license to obtain a medication then shouldn’t my medical insurances cover it like any other medication? And shouldn’t what has been known wrongly as the ‘Gateway Drug onto all other Hard Drugs’ be reclassified legally as well? What I know to be true: I have seen used it as a Gateway Drug off of crack, cocaine, heroine and even fentanyl! As well as pain medications. So fix the scheduling as well as allowing Doctors to help patients make better choices. For their particular case. Then mandate part D and insurance cover those Legitimate Prescribed Cannibist products. My humble opinion ✨✨✨💫
@WeedLawyerKev @oneunderscore__ Those are his constituents.
