Most people will see government adopting blockchain as validation, while in reality it's regulatory capture through infrastructure dependency. Don't get me wrong, getting GDP data onchain is bullish, yet Department of Commerce using Chainlink oracles means every DeFi protocol relying on government data now has a single point of failure controlled by federal agencies. When your "decentralized" application depends on Commerce Department data feeds, you don't have permissionless infrastructure - you have digital government services with extra steps. There's a quiet risk of blockchain adoption by institutions that can often mean blockchain controlled by institutions, and blockchain should not go this way.
