There isn’t one marketing team in sports that has infinite resources. Yet so often digital & content teams are treated like infinite resources. Spraying & praying. Knee-jerk reactions. Internal “fire drills”. No prioritization. It’s deflating for teams & hurts meaningful work.
This is why everything should put things to paper. The team's brand strategy. The content strategy. The social strategy. Putting the work to paper keeps everyone grounded. It arms teams with the ability to push back. And prioritizes.
