Tho I really am in no position to talk given my current project about him
[SH] Someone wrote an entire book about van Gogh’s ear because the world clearly needed that
The best one was where a woman was using a pointer to highlight sections of Starry Night, noting that the church was actually domed not spired, etc. And then she said “but perhaps the most interesting thing is that Vincent thought this painting was a failure” and the crowd GASPED
I also spent a couple of hours digging around video archives and found some amazing bookshop talks from various random towns in the USA at which authors did some talks about their Van Gogh books, which was useful but also pretty hilarious
My big plans for a project about Van Gogh are off to a flying start: I have chosen a notebook (sunflower yellow 🌻 lol) and begun a bibliography/source list including 28 different films to watch
