RBI didn’t defend the rupee. It auctioned national savings to buy time for a government that has zero structural answers. Here’s what 12 years of “Sabka Saath” delivered: — Oil import dependence: 88.6% - a RECORD HIGH — Trade deficit: exploded from $79.3B → $93.6B in a single quarter — BoP deficit: $24.4 billion — Stock market wealth wiped: $160 BILLION in 2026 alone ₹6.1 BILLION in net dollar sales in ONE week, and the rupee still fell. That’s not economic management. That’s damage control dressed in a suit. When reserves run dry, it’s your EMI, your grocery bill, and your fuel price that pays the real cost. They built a headline. You’ll pay the invoice.
