IMHO visual quality, like many other things, is a path of discovery. It almost magically emerges from the coming together of multiple independent parts: stylized 3D rocks, textures, lighting, particle effects, shaders, post-processing and more.

Since the wind is the main theme of the game, everything ties back to it. The latest mechanic: plants that hide during high winds, which you can only harvest by giving them cover.
