Dr. Owen Pornillos’ research seeks to understand how the drug lenacapavir kills HIV virions. They’ve shown that lenapacavir breaks apart the viral capsid, which allows the viral DNA to be detected and attacked by the immune system.
Our last keynote speaker, Dr. Vittoria Colliza shows how social contact data can be used epidemiologically to predict disease transmission patterns for diseases like CoVID-19.
