18 million Sudanese face acute hunger, and risk of famine is looming. But just a tiny fraction of the @UN's humanitarian appeal for Sudan has been met. This is unacceptable. The U.S. is the largest single donor nation. Now other countries need to step up. nytimes.com/2024/03/18/opi…
@USAmbUN @UN Where are @UNLazzarini and @antonioguterres Hiding?
It's troubling that amidst global crises, such as the acute hunger facing millions in Sudan, there isn't enough attention or support. The situation demands urgent action and collaboration from the international community. While there's so much focus on Palestinians, the lack of attention may be attributed to the sensitivity surrounding the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and the urgency to blame the Jewish nation. However, it's crucial to recognize that the issue of Palestinians shouldn't overshadow other pressing humanitarian crises. Blaming any particular group isn't constructive. Instead, the focus should be on addressing the urgent needs of those suffering, regardless of political or cultural considerations. It's imperative for countries to step up and fulfill their humanitarian responsibilities to prevent further suffering and alleviate the looming threat of famine."
@USAmbUN @UN This is also unacceptable. The entire world blaming Israel for a famine that is not happening today but projected, while at the same time the UN not funding anything but food, which they have more than people can eat. coordination (6% of needs) x.com/lkajomovitz/st…

Dear Ambassador Thomas, it's concerning that the UAE is using aid routes to funnel arms to the genocidal RSF, as per the UNSC report. To truly halt the conflict and aid the starving refugees, pressuring Abu Dhabi to cease fueling the war in Sudan through aid is crucial. Their influence in Washington may be causing the US government to overlook their role in exacerbating the situation in Sudan.
