Coach on the level where it matters, not what is convenient for you. Too often, coaching is based on what the coach can see. But there is much more than meets the eye. Frustration, misalignment, misunderstanding, and many hours are wasted because coaching is not done at the right level. EXAMPLE: It does not matter that a player got killed, and you go back to the decision-making level a few moments before that, when, in fact, the player could not process the available information correctly to set the right intention in the first place. You will be yapping for days, and still have no transformation and change in behavior. Solution: Asking the player better questions on the levels where the problem is at -> "What did you see in this moment, and what were you trying to achieve based on this information?"

Codex + GitHub + Vercel + Supabase changed how fast I could build. The U3 Platform could’ve easily been a 1–2 year project. The first 5 months, I coded mostly solo. AI didn’t build the vision. But it helped me move faster while still building this mostly on my own. For U3, where resources are limited but the vision is big, that matters. Prelaunch is getting closer.

Finding players isn’t the biggest challenge. 👀 It's managing the process. So instead of relying on spreadsheets, Discord messages, and manual follow-ups, I built a structured application pipeline. Now we can: • Track applicants through every stage of the process • Assign coaches and managers • Monitor contract progress • Review recruiting trends • Maintain a consistent experience for every applicant The goal is simple: spend less time managing processes and more time developing players. Agreed. We separate development, execution, and competition for a reason. Practice = learning. Mistakes are expected. Coaching is active. Scrims = execution. Objectives must be followed, comms stay consistent, and performance is tracked. Competition = results. Most teams blur those environments together. We treat them differently because the way you practice becomes the way you perform.

Most teams scrim at 70%. Tryhard at 100% in officials. Then wonder why they collapse under pressure. The typical scrim: "It's just a prac." Players experiment without telling teammates. Comms half-effort. Nobody calls out mistakes in the moment. Next official: same mistakes.

For those involved in esports, nonprofits, or community organizations: what's one behind-the-scenes responsibility people often underestimate? People often assume esports organizations spend most of their time playing games. In reality, a surprising amount of time goes toward: • Scheduling practices and matches • Recruiting players and staff • Coordinating communications • Creating content • Managing operations • Tracking player development • Building partnerships • Planning for the future The matches are what most people see. What they don't see are the countless hours spent behind the scenes creating opportunities for players to grow, compete, and succeed.
