Although, it seems like everyone agrees about finding the original artist and getting commercial rights or clarifying. It's just the right thing to do!

Exactly this, if you didn't make the model yourself (commissioned) or you adopted you should get commercial rights. This is where the confusion comes in because adopting encompasses a lot of people and steps while comms are one on one!

Those should hold a special place in their heart since it's custom to them. OP should have clarified that in their tweet then. It talks about both commissions and adopts which both have different rules.

It has been around for years and lets people get involved in a community and VTube if they don't have the means to do so regularly. But I still haven't been talking about adopts for a large majority of this conversation.

@EinarLyall @subuwus @succubus_nyx @AkameOda @VTMoku yeah, that makes a ton of sense. Most (90%) of what I was commenting on was the commission portion of the tweet. I understand what adopting is and why some people enjoy it. But my statement was if people turn around and resell commissions that aren't adopted.
