The 29-character “line” conveniently lends itself to common Twitter expressions such as the following:

tu: right now for example I wrote| a Twitter a Tweet you know it| I care not the name, it’s all just the same| long as you read what I wrote

you can even make it into a limerick as in the following example

tu: This is how to write a Tweeku| that meets the standard usage| for this cool, creative new Twittery poetry| winning both friends and foes

Note that we’re using prime numbers for the segments, reflective of the originality of each Tweeku creation.

The formula is a precise number of characters separated by a vertical line. tu: 29| 29| 43| 29 The “tu:” is to indicate it’s a Tweeku.

Just as Haiku follows a formula for syllables per line, Tweeku follows a formula for using exactly 140 characters, the limits of Twitter.
