On Day One of my 2nd term, I formed a Task Force to find ways to better protect kids in Oklahoma. It’s a top priority. April is Child Abuse Prevention Month— and I met with staff from Parent Promise & @HealthyOklahoma to celebrate their work. We want happy, healthy kids in OK!
@GovStitt @HealthyOklahoma But you won’t fund our child protective services at adequate levels, you refuse federal funds to feed them over the summer, and you refuse to support family leave do parents can be with their children when they are sick. Your choices harm children, @GovStitt
Performative circle jerk legislator says what ... I protect children in a month that someone else denoted!!!! Now pay for it. Do you want a nice BBQ and if you are my friend you two can collect two checks in employment with me. But hey .... there is plenty of daycare for two working parents right ....
@TulsaTeresa @GovStitt @HealthyOklahoma The majority of your protections are fake protections. Federally funded meals and “family leave” in excess of PTO does not actually protect Oklahoma children. As far as child protective services goes, define your understanding of “adequate levels”.
