Traffic stop leads to arrests and drug seizure
The Windsor Police Service has arrested two individuals and seized illegal drugs following a traffic stop.
On January 1, 2026, a Windsor Police officer stopped a vehicle occupied by a man and a woman in the 5500 block of Reginald Street. Further investigation revealed the woman was wanted on an outstanding matter, and she was arrested following a brief struggle.
A search conducted incident to arrest resulted in the seizure of the following:
• 17.1 grams of powder cocaine
• 16.5 grams of crack cocaine
• 6.5 grams of fentanyl powder
• 1.7 grams of crystal methamphetamine
• 36 tablets of 0.5mg clonazepam
• $840 in Canadian currency
• Digital scale
As a result of the investigation, the male occupant was also taken into custody.
The male occupant has been charged with possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking (x5) and failure to comply with a probation order.
The female occupant has been charged with possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking (x5) and facilitating the breach of a probation order.

Five teens arrested for assault with a weapon
The Windsor Police Service has arrested five teenagers in connection with an assault with a weapon.
Shortly after 6 p.m. on December 14, 2025, officers responded to a report of a person with a weapon a residence in the 3500 block of Wells Street. The victim reported that she was outside her home with her children when a white Dodge Caravan occupied by several unknown males arrived. One male allegedly exited the vehicle and confronted her while armed with a machete. Another male inside the vehicle reportedly discharged a BB gun multiple times in their direction.
The suspects fled the area in the Dodge Caravan, with a witness following the vehicle in her own car. While travelling eastbound on the E.C. Row Expressway, the occupants of the suspect vehicle reportedly discharged the BB gun toward the witness’ vehicle. The witness subsequently discontinued following the suspects.
No physical injuries were reported as a result.
At approximately 3:30 p.m. the following afternoon, officers located the white Dodge Caravan.
Through investigation, the Windsor Police Major Crimes Unit identified five suspects.
On December 18, 2025, at approximately 4:20 p.m., three suspects turned themselves in at Windsor Police headquarters. Later that same day, the remaining two suspects were located and arrested without incident in the 300 block of Jefferson Boulevard.
All five suspects have been charged with the following offences:
• Assault with a weapon
• Possession of a weapon dangerous to public peace
• Discharge of an air gun with intent to wound
A 14-year-old male has also been charged with dangerous operation of a motor vehicle and three counts of failure to comply with a release order.
A 15-year-old male has also been charged with three counts of failure to comply with a release order.
A 14-year-old male has also been charged with three counts of failure to comply with a release order.
Another 14-year-old male has also been charged with wearing a disguise with intent to commit an indictable offence.
Under the Youth Criminal Justice Act, the identities of the accused cannot be released publicly.

One arrested, second sought after armed assault, property damage
The Windsor Police Service has arrested one suspect and is seeking another in connection with incidents that involved an armed assault and property damage.
Shortly before 6:30 a.m. on November 26, 2025, officers responded to a report of a person with a weapon in the 900 block of Louis Avenue. Officers learned that two masked female suspects took a vehicle without the owner’s consent and drove to a residence to physically confront someone. One suspect deployed bear spray at the front door while the other pointed and fired a firearm-style BB gun at the victim. The suspects fled immediately after the attack.
Approximately two hours later, the suspects returned to the residence. One suspect used a knife to smash a glass window, and the other fired the BB gun at a surveillance camera.
No physical injuries were reported.
The Windsor Police Major Crimes Unit investigated and quickly identified both suspects.
On November 27, 2025, a 16-year-old suspect turned herself in at Windsor Police headquarters. The teenager, who cannot be named under the Youth Criminal Justice Act, has been charged with:
• Assault with a weapon
• Pointing a firearm
• Possession of a weapon dangerous to the public peace
• Wearing a disguise to commit an offence (x2)
• Occupying vehicle without consent
• Mischief to property under $5,000
• Failure to comply with a release order (x2)
A second suspect, Maya Rose Labelle-Handsor, 18,remains outstanding. She is wanted for:
• Assault with a weapon (x2)
• Administering a noxious substance
• Mischief to property under $5,000 (x2)
• Wearing a disguise to commit an offence (x2)
• Occupying vehicle taken without consent
• Failure to comply with a release order (x2)
Labelle-Handsor is described as a white woman, 5’3” tall, with a slender build, long black hair, and brown eyes.
