@hannahmary31 @valhumphreys51 @LucyGoBag If they have they have committed a criminal offence and you need to report it to the police to computer misuse act 1990 is the development legislation. I can be fined up to £5000 or jail for up to 3 months for each access.

@Parody_RCGP Found out early this week that martha’s rule has not been fully implemented in Sheffield. So asking for it made no difference. An email to the CEO asking why it didn’t actually cause something to occur resulted in action (eventually.) The patient is me

@Nikki13687705 It’s probably one of these PFI type things people own the building and lease it to NHS have total control over any changes. An example few years ago award needed more 13 amp sockets. The wiring was in place they just needed to connect each one was charged @£500.

@HeldinEU @StiffNips2 healthcare professionals make mistakes, the more stressed and overworked and underpaid, the more mistakes mad. If u have problems with healthcare write your MP setting out clearly what the problem asking them to investigate. Thenumber of letters might make a difference.

@notaboojum @Donna__McLean These are definitely unauthorised access. Trust keep an eye on who is accessing the records of sensitive patients. There are also automatic systems that detect unusual patterns of access defined people who have no direct connection with the patient care.

@Parody_RCGP @DrSteveTaylor if you are a Nurse, you think like a Nurse. Nurses are used to dealing with constipation and will think of it before all the ones that Doctors do. It is the best example so far of why using nurses on the front line, no matter how much training they’ve had is dangerous

@PorterRend69501 @DrSdeG Excuse me for being incredibly naive, it is absolutely clear why maternity care in this country has deteriorated over the last 30 years. It’s a combination of serious underfunding and toxic culture leading to a battle between midwives and Doctors. My wife was a midwife.

Statistically it should result in significant maternal and neonatal death. We must be doing something terribly wrong.

@TheSnoozeDoctor @DrSdeG As a trainee GP I was told every consultation could be a matter of life or death for the patient. They could be convinced they were dying and be sent on their way. Or they could come in with a trivial complaint but they were terminal.
