@AbbyNormal1976 @Vincent_Ledvina well, yeah? the sun is big in the sky and 3i/atlas has an incredibly small apparent size and an apparent magnitude higher than 10... your phone can capture lunar details but not 3i/atlas, right??

@CARMENUCCI0 @curiosityonx 2 days? thats enough to watch the sun and moon move a few degrees and for the phase to change from waxing crescent to waxing crescent (in other words thats such a minimal difference) go actually observe the sky. keep a journal, draw sketches, make measurements of the distances

@CARMENUCCI0 @curiosityonx also the moon was facing the sun at the time i took this photo, i could tell by visual observation and i couldnt take a photo of it next to the sun because it didnt appear in any photos i tried taking, it was far too faint

@CARMENUCCI0 @curiosityonx it proves that the moon being that close to the sun is extremely faint and would be incredibly difficult to capture on a camera also the moon is way too big in that photo, they made it the same size as the sun glare when suns glare is way bigger than the sun

@CARMENUCCI0 @curiosityonx that photo isnt real either, the moon should not be as big as the suns glare and the moon shouldnt be that visible either, itd be extremely faint relative to the sky ive seen the moon that close to the sun and it was impossible to see with my eye

@Sayloeee nebulae is more based on light pollution, but planets are very nice as long as you get an eyepiece with a low focal length (like 6mm) or a barlow lens (2x works)! if you are in a dark sky, nebula should look good telescopicwatch.com/sky-watcher-he…
