Filling the massive holes on OLine the Steelers now have to focus in on WR. I’m not sure they need an established guy, they’ve never paid an elite WR. Why? Because they have faith in their recruitment of WR. It’s a position they’ve consistently nailed in draft. Why change now?
I have to constantly remind myself the Steelers don’t pay elite players elite money, especially on the offensive side. I have a hard time believing they’ll get Aiyuk, they don’t want to throw that kind of money at him. It’s possible, sure, but it’s not likely.
With Tomlin expressing his content with free agency acquisitions, and him noting there aren’t really any NEEDS in the drafts- I wouldn’t be surprised if the Steelers make a trade for Brandon Aiyuk with pick #20.

Is it just me or does it feel like Tomlin is favoring Fields rather than Wilson? Like he says Wilson has “pole position” but also says “Fields will get his opportunity to compete”. They say they want to sign Wilson long term but those quotes don’t seem long term.

The real difference this season isn’t gonna be made with Russell Wilson or Justin Fields, no everything is gonna change because Arthur Smith is coordinating the offense. Even if it were still Pickett- this Steelers team would reach a whole other level this year.

Scary Terry to the Steelers would be a large step above Tyler Boyd. But, not quite as earthshaking and effective as Aiyuk.
Nowadays NFL contracts are so short term and volatile, I say spend the draft capital and money to get Aiyuk. It’s hard to come by great skill position player that stays with one team for over 5 years. To me it’s more worth it to go with the sure thing. Carpe diem.

kenny pickett has 0 upside he’s mediocre AT BEST. Justin Field’s upside is tremendous .. he has the athleticism and physical traits (that u can’t teach) to become a star. He was an unfinished product in Chicago and under the right coaching and development he can and will be great
