@TraceyRyniec They are very different situations, as in Minneapolis the collapse was due to lack of bridge maintenance (gvt responsibility), while this appears lack of ship maintenance (responsibility of firms with cargo on ship). Feds should pay and recoup cost from those responsible.
@emre_mayo They ARE. No one says otherwise. But both situation are identical in that they are major economic arteries that will cause devastation if not rebuilt quickly. Both will have government money to make it happen FAST.
@TraceyRyniec As long as Feds pay to accelerate construction and then chase those responsible for the funds, that's the right policy.
