This is insane and happens FAR too often. Verizon needs to correct this IMMEDIATELY
@TizzyEnt I know exactly what happened. The phones were returned but the contract attached to the account was never reversed and canceled. It's paritally on the store employees (and Verizon for making it two parts). The problem is they won't want to fix it because it will affect their P&L
@Toxic_Capricorn @TizzyEnt What's "partially" about that?
@Toxic_Capricorn @TizzyEnt I literally work for a lawn care company and this type of shit happens all the time . The service auto renews every year and you have to call to cancel or they will charge whatever payment method you have on file and if you don’t have one they bill you and mess up your credit
@Toxic_Capricorn @TizzyEnt @Verizon This is disgusting and I’m telling all my customers about it. I work at a very busy grocery store. You know this is getting out. FIX IT or you’re gonna be sorry.
@Toxic_Capricorn @TizzyEnt ^^^ this - worked in collections for years. They intentionally make it hard to escalate for this reason. Also, I was taught it’s easier to negotiate when you already have their money as to why we would hit accts a year after collections activity aware it would blindside people.
@Toxic_Capricorn @TizzyEnt It makes it appear there is still an active customer but they just have the “settings” turned off if that makes sense - so they can still claim them as an active customer without them being an active customer. They forgot to turn the settings off.
@Toxic_Capricorn @TizzyEnt This same thing happened to my brother
