The 18th at Old Mac. Which backdrop do you prefer? Before: Just nature Now: A sweet patio to have drinks and watch your friends finish out. My instinct is nature, but many of the greatest courses have awesome patios on 18.
How many golf rounds include a ride on a back of a pickup truck? On #14 at Bandon Trails, you get a nice reprieve from the tough walk with a ride up a big hill. The reveal at the top…😍
Bandon Lodges have a nice gas fireplace. Perfect way to dry off your grips post 8 hours in the rain!
#4 at Bandon Dunes. Ranked by Golf Magazine as a top 500 golf hole on the planet. I won’t argue.
Rain. 45 mph gusts. Cold. We had 8 guys smiling ear to ear for 4 hours. Would you want these conditions every day? Of course not. Is it an absolute blast when on the right course with the right people? Heck yeah.

@Top100Rick #1 is spot on! And I can add some context. I wasn't with him at the time, but a few months ago, a friend took a drop away from a cart path, but not far enough. The ball ricocheted off the edge of the cart path and directly into his eye. Sadly, he lost the eye.
Last week our construction manager from @TotalTurfGS made a quick trip up from Eastlake GC where they are finishing that project. He met with @aarondavida @TurfgrassHig and myself to finalize details for our project at @LakewoodCCGolf beginning in July.
We are currently looking to fill 2 Assistant positions at Old Barnwell. Posting can be found on the CGCSA website. Would be a great opportunity for someone wanting construction experience.
When Annika did this, it was huge. Mainstream news. When Tiger did it, well, he’s Tiger. It was everywhere. Feel like Nelly isn’t getting any of the deserved pop. Hardcore golf fans are kinda paying attention, but broader sports fans aren’t. The question is why?
What’s crazy about this Scottie Scheffler chip in is that it isn’t even shocking anymore. He has a real chance to win 4 out of 5 tournaments, including a major and 3 elevated events. He’s not Tiger, but it’s a Tiger like run.
Anything worse than getting to a signature hole and taking a horrid swing? Got to the signature hole at Robert Trent Jones Club. Swing wasn’t great that day, but I usually can step up for a great par 3. Alas. Not to be. What golf hole would you like a do-over on?

@Top100Rick I think that initial nature photo a little bit of a MySpace angle…seeing pre and post, the post actually works with the clubhouse. Enough proximity away from hole and helps scale it a little. The trees really not an Old Mac vibe. Old Mac in my top 5 🤝

@Top100Rick Natural is probably preferred but I think they did a good job fitting the new building in there. Being able to watch shots zoom around that green then get a nice steak is fun.

@Top100Rick I prefer the new backdrop. Plus the ghost tree grill is an outstanding restaurant. The steakhouse that Bandon Dunes needed.

@Top100Rick Nice that its minimal design and there are still tall pines behind it. Matches clubhouses behind all other courses.
@Top100Rick Most would prefer nature...but over time, you adjust to the alternative. Oakmont is a good example. Used to be just the clubhouse. Now the cabins to the right create a different environ...and if you played there the first time today, it's in your memory forever.
