PROTECT THE INTERNET ARCHIVE. It's important because you'll be able to access stuff that you can't find on the internet anywhere else. It's good for research. If we lose Internet Archive, it would be like losing the Library of Alexandria on the internet. PASS IT ON.

@TommoTheCabbit Actually, it would probably be worse than Library of Alexandria, because if I recall, a lot of writings from there did have copies.
@TommoTheCabbit The piracy accusation is not the real reason they're going after the Internet Archive. It's because there's a lot of politically sensitive stuff that has been archived there, which is embarrassing to politicians and celebrities. It threatens their supremacy, so it needs to go.
@TommoTheCabbit @ITDBruins We CANNOT let this happen!!
@TommoTheCabbit @Peanut_Crunch Given the HUGE numbers of libraries stepping in for total support, these archives are sticking around no matter what.
@TommoTheCabbit If only they hadn't decided to pirate a shitload of books without even asking the authors, I'd be more sympathetic.
@TommoTheCabbit Internet Archive is probably one of my top 10 most used websites of all time
@TommoTheCabbit So you think it's okay to scan one physical book and then offer it digitally without paying authors when the digital cope is borrowed? Because I don't. Authors deserve to be paid for their works.
