@Frosty2495 Hell no. No we do not. My fondness for Mortal Kombat and Event Horizon aside, his first Resident Evil is still only entertainingly bad. Every film after that is utter dogshit. Milla Jovovich being gorgeous is literally the only thing those movies have going for them.

@P3droHB_ Honestly, not really. Jean was dead in the comics for a good 10 or so years after the Dark Phoenix Saga, and after that her stories are basically either directly tied to the Phoenix or to her and Scotts increasingly fraught relationship. And the situationship with Logan.

@megsfrompluto Same. I was hoping for them to adapt Tai-Pan instead. I don't know how much worth there is in adding a whole lot more supplemental material to the first book. Inventing a new storyline for characters whose stories are already done and dusted. Flying too close to the sun there.

@factavius Call of Cthulhu my friend. It's basically perfectly suited for scenarios exactly like you just described. Normally, investigators are pretty squishy and not able to do much damage, but there is an additional rulebook called Pulp Cthulhu that adds spellcasting and better combat.

@DoctorWhoWorld_ A bunch of legitimately fantastic stories unfortunately wrapped up in a tone deaf, farcically bad myth arc. Hopefully will serve as the impetus for the series to return to basics and to stop vying for an audience that would never embrace a show this weird anyway.
