CLI is the ui for agents to interact with your application. It’s time to put as much effort into a CLI for your api as you do into your browser UI.
I wanted to build a video editor into X like other social apps. I had expected it to take 3 months of engineering time. Today I decided to try prototyping it myself. I one-shotted a full in-browser editor in 15 minutes. It felt like I could replace the entire Adobe software suite by Sunday. Then I asked myself: will videos even be edited manually in 3 months? Chatbots can do reasonably well now. Product development is getting extraordinarily difficult when the world is changing so fast.

I am apparently extremely unimpressed by moltbook relative to many others. We’ve had AI agents for a while. They have been posting AI slop to each other on X. They are now posting it to each other again, just on another forum. In every case, the AIs speak with the same voice.
Yea, this is what I've been saying. This might be slightly creepy, but its also not skynet. Lots of trolls and larpers laughing in the background.

The vibe coding discourse is missing the point. The people actually succeeding aren't just prompting their way to products on vibes and energy drinks. They're running through walls, debugging for hours, learning how code actually works. They have more in common with traditional developers than the memes suggest. The workflow changed. The mindset didn't.
I've spent this year building with AI. Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, RepoPrompt, Agent(.)ai, Lovable, Bolt(.)new and more. MCP servers, mobile apps, internal tools, product platforms. Thousands of lines of orchestrated code, some in production with real users. I even won a prize in the world’s largest hackathon. Some of the hottest AI products today are built backwards. They start with "what can the model do?" or "What work can it replace?" instead of "what does the human need to accelerate to the desired outcome?" Autonomous agents make great demos (sometimes). Human-in-the-loop workflows are what actually ship. I think that's the destination for most valuable work going forward, not a stepping stone. The vibe coding discourse gets this wrong too. The people actually succeeding aren't prompting their way to products. They're running through walls, debugging for hours, learning how code actually works. They have more in common with traditional developers than the memes suggest. The workflow changed. The mindset didn't. Will an LLM be able to code an entire complex app (or write a book, or make a long form video) from a single prompt eventually? Maybe. Will it beat the stuff produced more painstakingly with a talented person guiding the process? I don't think it ever will. The winners in the coming years will be the tools that solve context engineering. Giving the AI and the human the right information at the right time. Workflows and structure instead of one-shot prompts will continue compounding the wins. The hype will slow down. The people who master context and workflows will accelerate.
