@ciaraquill We've come a long way from where high academic standards were a pre requisite to enter the career. It will be interesting to see how this works out. It does give a pathway for those who may have the potential to achieve, but were unable to do so in school, for whatever reason.

@muppyjokin @IrishRail Also if u get stuck behind someone whose card doesn't work there is no other way to tap off . Another machine badly needed in Broombridge. Luas has a few machines to tap on but just one for Irish rail. I feel sorry for tourists who must be so confused by this crazy set up.

Interesting to see that the UK gov are also considering SEND support "shake up". Backlash expected. I do think there needs to be some changes to system Ireland to ensure that funding and resources are properly targeted to children with greatest need. Not an easy task!

Best in Show is available on Netflix right now & I’m going to continue pushing this film on my timeline for the foreseeable future because every single person alive should watch this movie. Catherine O’Hara was a comedic genius. I don’t know how else to put it. We lost a giant.

@AllMinusOne1 @MichaelPTKelly Have you considered how well regarded out education system is by international comparison? Impressive considering we have one of the lowest levels of funding in the EU. Sweeping generalisations about any cohort of workers are best avoided.

Unable to reply to this. Good to hear, but the message is not getting through to some cyclists who continue to take to the roads without proper lighting. Of course I agree all road users should have proper lights.

@Threadser We often do and will continue to do so. Using lights during lighting up hours is a legal requirement. I wish someone would do similar for all the cars is see with one working light on the road.

@SafeCyclingEire I would appeal to you to campaign for cyclists to be properly lit. Many are invisible on the roads these dark days. I don't condone poor behaviour by any road users.

@joedamaggio @CWeston_Indo @CiaranCuffe I am not condoning the irresponsible behaviour of other road users but there is a huge issue with the lack of visibility of cyclists on our roads which needs to be acknowledged and addressed.

@AnGabharCliste @thejournal_ie @rtenews @GardaTraffic Sun setting soon. Almost 4 hours in gridlock on a main exit road from Dublin. Totally unacceptable that there is no plan to move traffic at this stage.

@corriepodcast I agree. . Her accent is entirely different from that of her her son. Character is badly written and doesn't seem authentic or believable. I don't think Pauline McGlynn is a good choice for the role.

@OptimusGael Untrue. Some payments are means tested. The contributory state pension/survivors pension are not. You could have a couple with large private pensions pots, both with state pension and Gov is giving them a bonus. Makes no sense. Fine if social welfare payment is the only income.
