Left: Former chair of the Conservative Party Lord Patten, "Brexit was a bloody disaster.. Politicians blame difficulties in the economy on the war in Ukraine and Covid, neither of which we could control.. But Brexit we did ourselves, and it was the biggest disaster in British policy making since WWII" Right: Keir Starmer rejects Freedom of Movement with the EU, the Customs Union and the EU Single Market, "I voted for Remain.. I still think we can get a better deal.. I've accepted the result.. I voted for Brexit.. We need to look forward" So disappointing from Keir Starmer. Part of looking forward is to recognise Brexit is a disaster and to campaign to Rejoin the EU.
@implausibleblog @ThatTimWalker Labour's economic plans for growth are just nonsense when we all know the quickest way to ca 2 - 6% growth is to rejoin the Single Market. Rejoining the EU would be better still.
