My Dad told me that from all the reasons I’ve told him to mask in public, what resonated most with him was the fact that if we mask and we’re wrong to, it doesn’t cost us or anyone else anything… whereas if we don’t mask and we’re wrong, it costs us our health and that of others

"No one wears a mask in public anymore." What you see when in busy indoor space is a biased sample. The disabled, medically higher risk, Covid aware, etc. may avoid these spaces because they aren't safe. You aren't always seeing the full picture

Advice to share with your friends and family. Make a time to get your flu shot/Covid booster and put it in your calendar. People are more likely to get an immunization if they have pre-booked the time.

Dr. Moore said today only those at risk from Covid should mask indoors. He forgot to mention that's everyone. Long Covid has impacted the young & healthy too. You don't know if you'll have an unlucky hand 🎲

Do us a favor - if you've travelled recently, please stay home and monitor yourself for covid symptoms before you visit your loved one in the hospital. It's so upsetting to see critically-ill patients have their illnesses complicated by family members who bring them covid.

Quick story. After my wife tested COVID +ve but before kid tested +ve we had kid contact teachers to tell them she's staying home 'cuz known contact. Teacher told her public health rules say she doesn't need to stay home. She tested +ve next day. Public health rules are feckless.
