We are in #Worcester today with the @Cranstoun_org team delivering our #RelationalSupervision training for people working as addiction professionals Looking forward to the next 5 days, sharing a space with the group who have over 160 years of experiences of working in the sector

. We encourage authenticity within our training and that can bring risks as there can be a sense of feeling exposed within a group, but the team have stepped into the space and created an open, shared learning environment that has been supportive of health and wellbeing.
The team from Cranstoun have been fantastic, coming from lots of different regions, different services and lots of previous life experience in the helping professions, they have brought the training alive with insight, challenge and affirmation.
The models have demonstrated the importance of quality supervision for the individual, the person we support, the team and organisation as well as giving a solid framework on how this can be delivered with the skills of the team.
Day 5 - today we finish the training with the last of the observation sessions and a summary of the training. The next steps will be touch points to review integration of the learning and how this is having implications on practice and culture.
Day 4 - today we introduce a more relationally focused model to complement last weeks theory. Our relational supervision approach pays attention to the process within ourselves, the people we support, our teams and organisations. #RelationalSupervision #CuriousNotCritical
Day 3 - skills practice day. A chance for us to bring the theory into practice with real time observation sessions. The first session this morning has brought great insight into the importance of the therapeutic alliance & being a curious supervisor #RelationalSupervision

Discussion today at #TraumaAwarenessTraining into the role stigma plays in people’s perosnal process, creating felt risk in reaching out for help, contributing to an internal narrative that suffocates hope. Looking at the @PTMFramework in relation to this & how power operates.
Day 3 will #START with reflections on implications for practice . Insightful reflections on self care & what we need to do individually & collectively to thrive, thinking about how being a caring & compassionate team member can impact energy levels through vicarious trauma.
