Why aren't more people interested in UFOs and the paranormal? Most humans, "seem to be in a strange, passive state that is akin to hypnosis." ~CW Tom's Phone Call to Speilberg's Company? Plus, Are We Programmed to Worship? Jim Semivan: In one of my favorite books, "Alien Dawn," written by Colin Wilson, "there's a passage in the book that attempts to explain why so many people just don't seem to be interested in all of this. I mean, in the phenomenon and UAPs. And, you know, you and I know this is the story of the millennia, right? And you get these people like Dave Grusch and Lue and Chris Mellon and Hal and Kit and Garry Nolan (and Eric Davis). We all know it's true. I mean, we've all seen the evidence, it's true. And so, this is what Colin Wilson said: 'One thing is clear to me: that the reason my fellow humans take so little interest in these amazing problems of the paranormal, or whether aliens from other galaxies or dimensions are visiting our planet, is that they seem to be in a strange, passive state that is akin to hypnosis. I share enough of their state of mind to understand their longing for security and their objection to the intrusion of strangeness. Nevertheless, it seems to amount to burying your head in the sand.' "Are most people guilty of burying their heads in the sand, Tom, or, could there be another explanation for people simply not wanting to consider this subject at all? I find this is one of the questions of the times, regarding this subject." @tomdelonge: "Well, you gotta look at instinct, like, you know, why, when a baby is born, why does it know how to root for the breast for milk? Like, that's the one thing the baby knows. Or why, like, you know, does a fish, when it's bored, know how to swim instantly, you know? So there's these DNA-level instincts, that the second you're born, it's programmed that you know how to do something, you know, to survive. "I had a general once tell me that perhaps we were programmed to worship, and every once in a while, that piece of the code goes haywire and you get Galileo and Einstein (laughs) and you get these crazy thinkers [and the programmers go], 'Oh, shit, it didn't work on these individuals.' So, if a baby can be programmed somehow or have programming to root for the breast right out of the womb, then why can't we be programmed to not look up and just, it's all gone? It's like, there's nothing up there, there's nothing to look at. "Now, I thought that was weird because you and I find this so fascinating. So like, if someone tells you and I about this sh*t, we have like a thousand questions and our quest for more knowledge is like, never ending. But I met somebody. I remember...you know, I can't say who it is, but picture one of the biggest directors that has ever existed in Hollywood (I assume he's referring to Spielberg. ~Joe). And I was talking to this office about 'Sekret Machines,' our book, about getting this off the ground. And the head of film, the head person that does, like, the development for the projects that this person directs, I had a relationship with her and I was talking to her. And this is before I knew you. I finally said [to her], 'Look, I'm working with these guys, and they're all very serious guys, and this is a story that's really important, it's real, and I really wanna get this on this person's desk.' "AND this lady freaks out. She starts getting really nervous, she starts going, 'Ohhh, what are you talking about, what are you talking about?!' And I stopped, and I said, 'Hold on a second. Wait, wait, wait, calm down. What, do you think I'm lying?' And she goes, 'Yes, yes, I do think you're lying!' I'm all, 'You think that I'm lying about this group of generals, and other important people that really believe that this story has importance and value? And that I'm gonna take that and make it all up and come to your office with this guy that your boss is like the biggest name ever?' I'm like, 'Why would I do that? Like, what are you talking about?' She goes, 'I don't know, I don't know!' And she hung up. "So, something was clicking in her brain that was super scared, didn't wanna believe it, concocted a whole story that I was lying about it. And frantic. It was the first time that I saw like a programming. Now, granted, that could have come from religion, that could have come from childhood, that could have come whatever. But at least I saw, like, a wall to something, that, to me and you, is like, 'I wanna know more, sign me up! Like, let's get a couple of beers. Give me eight beers. I need to know more about this.' But to [her], of course, it was like, 'Do not bring it up. I want nothing to do with that knowledge. I don't even wanna think about that.' "And it takes me back to the conversation with the general, bringing up the idea of being pre-programmed to worship. You know, just like a baby coming out of the womb and it's kind of programming to find the nipple. We come out of the womb, we're ready to worship something and put the whole story in this one basket of fruit. Like everything is about Christianity or everything is about, you know, Islam or everything is about this. But within that, there are no UFOs, there is nothing out in space, we are the only ones, and a human created the Earth. And he wears a toga. And they're fine with that. I just think it's crazy. I don't know, that just me. "Like, when I see a politician running for president now, and they're talking so strongly about their belief in the Lord Jesus Christ. I grew up in that religion, like, I know a lot about that religion. And I kind of go...with Hubble, where they did the deep-space project with Hubble, they let it focus on a grain of sand in the darkest part of space for eleven days. One grain of sand. If you held a grain of sand at like, arm's length, and focus on that one pinpoint for eleven days with the Hubble Space Telescope, we got a one inch by one inch slide that had 10,000 galaxies in it. This is real science, this is really verifiable, this is a big deal. But yet, guys are still running for President as though a white dude in a toga created the universe."
@TheUfoJoe People get upset when you explain the phenomenon like Tom did when you only understand a partial picture of how our universe works. When a fuller understanding is explained people are much more likely to understand. Too few people have this fuller understanding of our universe✨
@TheUfoJoe Even knowing there is a SOURCE- are we supposed to Worship it? Watching 3 Body Problem on Netflix- When the aliens come- the one leader of a group calls it “my lord” naturally. As if higher intelligence=higher spiritually=higher morality.
@TheUfoJoe Tom creeped me out. This is not Star Trek, rather Poltergeist woo woo☠️👻👽🌝
@TheUfoJoe Precisely how I feel about the majority of the publics attitude to this topic! I grew up in a devout catholic household but started questioning around age 12. The majority of my family and friends have zero interest in the phenomena. It’s like they are blinkered. Apathy reigns.
@TheUfoJoe It's nothing supernatural. Most people don't care about ANYTHING until it affects their daily lives. (See: climate change, war.) When UAP / NHI are clearly affecting daily life, people will care. Most human behavior isn't a conspiracy, it's "social primates."
