@PaulUtd16 So what do we do with Licha? Sell him? Honestly, I would be open to that. I recognise his quality and the value he brings, but availability is a major factor. A player who is rarely fit becomes a liability, especially in such an important position.

Is it not too early to consider Shaw or Mazraoui as centre-backs? Do we really start Yoro and Heaven ahead of Licha when he is available? With De Ligt and Martínez currently out, United are left with just three centre-backs. They will return, but relying on that number for a stretch of fixtures is a risk. The squad still needs enough depth to handle injuries and the demands of the season.

I understand your concern, and I think you have moved on from Licha mentally. His lack of availability is a problem, especially on big wages. However, from a football perspective, he still provides valuable depth. With his injury and De Ligt's absence, United are very thin at centre-back. If Harry Maguire gets injured, it becomes a crisis. Quality matters, but availability matters too.

Get 2 high-energy, great passers in midfield, one decent CB who's not injury-prone, one winger, One CF, one LB. That's a minimum of six signings. Give Carrick his tools and the keys — none of the other options left are viable really. Watch this team fly next season. That United squad has an amazing spine. Imagine if football fans decided who their club should buy or sell, who should be appointed or sacked, the tactical setup, the starting XI, and every substitution. Manchester United would probably be one of the most directionless clubs in football. For INEOS to steer the club forward, they have to shut out the outside noise. Fans can debate priorities, but recruitment and squad planning should be left to people who can assess the squad objectively and strengthen the areas that genuinely need attention. United's fanbase wants what's best for the club, but there's little consensus on what that actually is. Too often, debates turn into arguments over who is the "bigger" United fan rather than constructive discussions about what the team truly needs.

Lisandro Martinez has had an excellent World Cup. For him to get injured in the Final is a brutal blow for him, hopefully it isn't serious. Manchester United simply don't have enough CBs they can count on to stay healthy through a 55-60 game season & they need to realise this.
